Photovoltaic Conference and Exhibition Preview 2009
Significant photovoltaic conferences and events in 2009. In chronological order, here are the conferences I am interested in following or covering in 2009. Given that visibility thing, I’m not making plans beyond PHOTON’s Technology Show. As last year (Part 2 update), my focus remains technical conferences and business to business trade shows, not regional marketing or sales events. However, I am still considering smaller technical conferences in lieu of the larger mega events because of repetitive content. There is little location alignment among the eleven events although the San Francisco Bay area and Munich have two events each.23rd EU PVSEC Preview

Feed-in Tariffs: Solar FiT for the USA
End the ITC (Investment Tax Credit) Myopia and expand the United States Solar Policy agenda. With the Washington International Renewable Energy Conference (WIREC 2008, Agenda) coming up this week, it seemed appropriate to jump into the US solar policy and incentive debate.
Repeated lobbying efforts by the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), the US national trade association for the solar industry, have failed to pass an extension to the solar Investment Tax Credit in last year’s Energy Independence and Security Act and the recent Economic Stimulus Act of 2008. Future SEIA efforts continue to focus on
Blunden’s Blunder at EPIA’s 4th European PV Industry Forum
Has SunPower lost touch with California Residential Solar Installers?
Last year, it took almost a week for me to gather my thoughts and write an article worthy of publishing on RenewableEnergyAccess.com about the 3rd PV Industry Forum. It doesn’t take more than a few moments to realize when incorrect marketing spin is promoted in a public forum.
That was the case early today, September 5, 2007, at the 4th European PV Industry Forum held during the 22nd EU PVSEC in Milan, Italy. Julie Blunden, Vice President, Public Policy and Corporate Communications, SunPower Corporation (NASDAQ:SPWR), professed that the California solar market has developed well over the past two
